They aren't that expensive in pure HIFI terms - you might need to spend some time identifying specialist stores within a manageable distance and make some calls rather than relying on chains. I hope you find what you want, good luck.

I think you need to go and listen to them and make your mind up. Should be straightforward to find a dealer with your speakers and they are all common brands.

It's a shame, but that is the way the World works. That said, with a free 30 day home trial, there's no excuse not to give it a whirl. As regards own cables, that's not an issue. Naim do it and seem to manage OK.

James, how does the NVA passive pre and mono combination compare to previous components? The 30 day free trial is incredibly generous and I am sorely tempted to try the same components you have just to discover how it compares to what I have now.

Out of curiosity, which amp did you own prior to the Brio and what do you percieve the Brio does that's so much better?
