A Linn Majik DS has an optical out as well as analogue outs so you can by-pass the internal DAC. You can probably pick up an early model second hand for £500-1000. User interface is pretty simple through third party apps on phone/tablet.

Not sure on the rules regarding links to other reviews but a well known American magazine posted a nice review of the H160 on 5th June.

Hi Paulq, Have you tried Space Optimisation with your DSM? I run a Majik DS into a Denon 2311 AVR with B&W CM8's (s1) and got a worthwhile improvement in sound after spending some time with it, sounds fantastic now! It is possible to raise the bass shelf and you might end up saving some money!
