Hi Chrisrock, we used the airdac for all USB to amp connections, so that we knew we were listening to sound quality differences of the amplifiers, rather than the internal DAC of the Vena.

I bought a mint, ex-demo K2 in black for £615 (not the blu-tooth version). Yeah the fascia of the K2 is pretty plasticky design, I think the new K3 looks much better, albiet at a much higher price than K2.

If you need a low profile flat speaker cable to go under carpets then take a look at QED Ultra flat , within your budget too.

To be honest I haven't compared the DAC section of the Marantz CD 6005 player to the Arcam irdac, but the irdac would give you the missing USB input that should really ahve been included as standard on the CD6005 to make it a much more flexible DAC.

Hi EIIJW, I recently purchased a RC Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air from Hifi Gear, it was in perfect condition, with a 2 year warranty same as a full price Zep, don't think you can go too far wrong but call them before you commit yourself if in doubt.

I heard over on Naim forum that they don't fit a muting relay to the loudspeaker outputs of the Naim Nait 5Si amp as it is seen as a potential source of degradation of the signal - better to tolerate the odd low level thump at switch on/ off 8)

As an earlier post suggested I have gone down the Sonos Connect connected digitally to my Marantz PM 6005 amp using the internal DAC in the amp and it really sounds much better than using the Sonos internal DAC connected via analog cables to the 6005. Bust if you are still keen on a CD player...
