1040, no question. I had the 840 for some time, and unless they changed it significantly, it doesn't have the effortless and creamier delivery of sound - particularly in the low end - that the 1040 had over it. It should pair nicely with the Zensor's. I used Zensor 7's with the 840 for about 6...
