Can you share a link where a study shows upsampling will actually "degrade" HiRes sound quality if bit perfect wasn't used? I couldn't find it anywhere. I see it similar to upscaling from 1080p video to 4k, 2k to 4k and 4k to 4k. I don't see a degradation, only wasted bandwidth and processing...
