    Analog Graphic Equalizer?

I haven't tried it myself but I like the looks, more hifi than pro, 10 band only. Silver or black. Should around 200 pounds. http://www.brik-audio.com/style/frame/templates15/product_detail.asp?lang=2&customer_id=2407&name_id=105199&content_set=color_3&Directory_ID=61076&id=342563

    System audio speakers...

I have also listened to System Audio and especially the Mantra series and I think they are great. I have compared them to Dynaudio's Focus series and I think System Audio is a bit better and is much easier to drive, works excellent with tube amps for instance. They have a very "rock n roll" type...

    Jadis Orchestra

I haven't heard any of the speakers but as the Heco Argon Reference has an active built in amp for the bass, I think the Jadis would be a great match. It is quite "slow" in the bass but sounds magical otherwise. Try to find the SE version that has tone controls, a good thing to have sometimes.

Audiolab 8200CD Reliability / System Compatibility

OK, thanks for the info! I will take the player back where it was bought. Today it stopped reading another cd I was playing, very annoying.

Audiolab 8200CD Reliability / System Compatibility

Thank you! Is it making any audiodable noise or hum? Apart from these quite minor issues, I like the player a lot!

Audiolab 8200CD Reliability / System Compatibility

A quick question. I have this player. Is it supposed to hum a little bit after a while, not disturbing really, but still, there is a noise, from the transformer possibly? And is it supposed to read cdr's? I have tried a few and one didn't play at all, a cdr that has worked fine on every other cd...

    Tubes - any advise?

Alex, did you ever get the chance to compare your KT90 with KT88's? I tried a pair or TAD KT88 tubes earlier this year but didn't notice any big difference from my current Ei 6CA7. I have recently ordered four GE 6550 (NOS) and four new EH KT90 tubes, just for fun, to compare. And I need spares...

    Tube-friendly speakers

Alex, here are some nice pictures from a Sonus Faber factory tour. From a swedish hifi forum. It starts off with pictures of the city, Vicenza, and continues with pictures from the factory. Try google translate if you want to be able to understand the comments...

    Tube-friendly speakers

I can play extremely loud if I wanted to with these 30 watts. It's not the loudness that worries me, ever, because I don't play very loud in my small apartment. The speakers has to be relatively easy to drive anyway, otherwise the bass might become too sloppy, slow and bloated, especially in my...

    Tube-friendly speakers

I have continued to listen to the Harbeth 30.1 speakers. My first impressions still stands, I am actually even more impressed! I read often that Harbeth make boring speakers. I couldn't disagree more. Every record I play sounds so natural, easy, airy, lean, smooth, real, detailed, balanced...

    Tube-friendly speakers

I am rigtht now listening to a pair of Harbeth 30.1 in my home using my Jadis JA30 mono's. Everything that has been said about these speakers are correct, the midrange is very clear and guitars, voices etc stand out perfectly and beautifully, it sounds very natural and "real". (A bit silly, but...

    Tube-friendly speakers

Congrats! As always, would be great to see pictures! :) And keep posting your impression of the speakers. At home and over time, you'll probably get a deeper sense of how they work in your room and with your music.

    Jadis lovers...

Yes, Jadis is great! I love the sound, the looks and feel. I got my mono amplifiers from a nice guy in Germany. Many Jadis amplifiers seems to be located in Germany or nearby. Also in some asian countrys, and of course also in the US. The entry level integrated Orchestra Reference SE was the...

    Tube-friendly speakers

It would be great fun to visit you and listen to the Sonus Faber's, if you will take them home during a weekend I actually might be interested. It's Brussels right? A flight from where I live doesn't take very long and isn't too expensive either. However, the Guarneri Memento's are a bit out of...

    Tube-friendly speakers

I actually own a pair of Amphion Argon 2 anniversary (basically the same as Argon 3), I like them a lot, beautiful and full sound, but these speakers do also prefer solid state in my opinion, the bass simply is more controlled. How come System Audio work so well, a danish brand?
