Why not give Peter a call at Deco Audio. He is a Croft dealer and a very helpfull knowledgeable chap. He may be able to help you put with a home demo. I cant recommend Croft enough. Fantastic gear for the money! :) http://www.decoaudio.com/deco_audio_phono_stages.html

Your favorite integrated amp(s) under £2000? Why?

Croft Acoustics definately needs a mention. Fantastic gear for the money. I've been through a few amps and have really settled with the 25/7 combo.

Croft Amps with a digital source?

Hi Isophene I pretty much have the set up you describe and enjoy it very much. The phono stage is one of the strongest points in the pre but most of my listening is from Spotify through the audiolab these days and always sounds superb to me. I have no intention of changing my gear unless I...

Best Blu ray Player for mixing down to 2Ch

This what i have been doing and seems to work ok but its not perfect. Thanks everyone for your replies, its much appreciated. I just wish that on modern blu ray's they would have a standard 2ch audio option. When i flick through the audio options i find that the dialogue on the descriptive...

Best Blu ray Player for mixing down to 2Ch

Hi All I have a Sony BDP-S360 blu ray player and in general i am happy with it. I have no interest (or have the room) in having a home cinema set up and i'm happy enough with my 2ch set up but when i play some blu ray discs the sound effects are deafening and the dialogue is barely audible. I...

Actually while i'm on and on the subject of Croft. I heard some PMC 23's recently and really liked them. Does anyone have any opinions of them and do you think the Croft 7 series power will be enough to drive them? Thanks in advance Ed

    Croft Integrated

I still love my 25 pre and & 7 series power. I initially bought the pre as line level only because i already had the separate RIAA and had it built with just one volume pot. In the end i sold the RIAA and had Glenn fit the phono stage into the pre and to me it sounded even better! I'm going to...

RE: Chord Chorus2 Vs. Tellurium Ultra Black

Over the years i've come to the conclusion that only turntables, cartridges, speakers and to a smaller extent some amps do and can sound different. When i auditioned some DAC's i really couldn't tell them apart. Believe me i wanted to! Same goes with cables i'm afraid. No matter how much i think...

    Chebby mentioned it . . .

Same here, pre and power not plugged into the Tacima and made no difference. If using it with your power amp strangles it then i dont see much point? Then again if it works for you (or not) you haven't lost too much cash.
