Yes sorry about that. And also an apology to the OP I was just trying to help the OP In my original suggesting of the Focal Arias. I certainly didnt expect the assault on my suggestion and then on my own system.

    Question Need Bright Speakers.

"Your Mismatched system"-- Now you are just being argumentative. What are you system specs?. Cant see any in your profile?. I by that I mean REAL ones? "So it's you who's actually doing the heavy compensation"-- How am I compensating?. Was it not you that stated "There you go" with my Bright...

    Question Need Bright Speakers.

I will make this reply short, with no system "diss" LOL QED have probably been around longer than you and make great speaker cables. IMO -Naim DAC V1 is a terrible DAC and rightly discontinued by Naim Naim amplification Does NOT sound Harsh at all IMO- Focal Aria ARE bright and harsh. And as...

    Question Need Bright Speakers.

QEDs genesis silver spiral loudspeaker cable is not an overly bright cable, If that was what your where insinuating with the "There we go" comment. Yes it is silver but still a very neutral and open Hi-End speaker cable. And at £45 per metre it is somewhat of a bargain compared to many other...

    Question Need Bright Speakers.

I home auditioned the Arias in my system using Naim amplification with Hicap DR and Chord Qutest DAC. Interconnects-Chord Company Epics and QED Genesis Silver Spiral speaker cables So didnt hear them in a "bad system". Yes you could put it down to system matching. But Focal Aria are well...

Focal Aria are VERY bright as are some monitor audio models. Probably best to look at loudspeakers with a metal dome tweeter of some sort

    Review Acoustic Energy AE509

Sorry for the very late reply- The AE509s are around 36cm from the wall. No need to use port bungs. The AE509s are rear ported, but use a unusually larger letterbox shaped port placed near the top of each speaker which helps greatly with ease of placement. Bass is powerful but tight with no...

Well there are 2 points you made that where incorrect (see my earlier replies) At least you could admit that you where wrong there. For the correct information for other forum users of course. Your Point N1) It’s used in industrial applications where flex needs to be run that may get damaged...

Yes other forum users do value others opinion before they purchase. Which is why I had given my honest opinion and a review. I did have the QED XT5 at home in my system for over a week!. I am not telling other forum users to buy the cable just giving my opinion and personnel experience. I...

Yes some of my replies where a little harsh and I apologise. I shouldnt have took your trolling bait on my first posted opinion and review on the QED XT5 and McRU Oflex Kit. Your replies to my opinion and reviews regarding both the QED XT5 and the McRU Oflex cable --------- Abacus Said...

My original post was just my comments and review on a recently home demoed QED XT5 mains cable. I didnt actually like the cable and returned it. I was trying to be helpfull and informative to any other forum members interested in a purchase of the cable. I am not trying to push my opinion on...

You can also buy the cable ready assembled by McRU. You buy the D.I.Y kit cheaper and only if you have the common sense and knowledge to be able to assemble it. It does come with assembly advise. I found it as simple as rewiring a plug.
