Hi all thanks again for feedback. So many abbreviations and information to process for someone who knows absolutely zero about Tech (I barely know how to turn a laptop on) Sounds like a lot of hassle, I was hoping for a machine to plug in and press a button to select random and away we go.

Thanks everyone for their help. As mentioned previously sound quality is the only factor here and needs to be at least on a par with my old CD5 so I might need to investigate streamers further. Has anyone upgraded from the Naim CD5 to a streamer and which machine did you end up with?

Thanks. Would the sound quality be as good or very close to my current cd player? How would shuffling the tracks work and controlled? Sorry for so many questions but have not kept abreast of current trends and not at all a techophobe.

MP3 only used when doing gardening, cleaning the car etc but still played as Flac files. Budget is what it is as long as quality is on a par at least as my Cd player

Hi I have approximately 800 cd's all of which have been converted and saved as Flac files so I can play on an MP3 player.

Hi I would like to play my large CD library on random shuffle whilst not losing any sound quality, any guidance gratefully received. Are there many / any options? My current system is Naim CD5si, Hicap Nap250, Nac72 through Monitor audio Silver 10.
