Sky+HD to 2nd TV with mini hdmi?

Yes I did try but had no luck. As I recall it, I could not get a picture when using the mini hdmi bits. I did some digging aroound at the time and I think I came to the conclusion that differences between the mini hdmi standard and the full hdmi standard prevented this from working. In any...

    HDMI - Thin Profile Head

I used a fairly cheap hdmi lead that had solid plastic ends. I then used dremel with a grinding stone to grind down each side. This squared the edges and reduced the width. I managed to reduce the width to 17mm (I have just measured them).

    Blueray picture judder

For me telecine judder was down to my TV not supporting 24p. Not sure whether this is your issue? I changed to a TV that supported 24p and set my blu-ray to 24p and all the judder I had been seeing was not apparent. See link below for description of telecine judder...

1080i versus 720p from SKY HD or automatic

I believe I have seen on other forums that all material is broadcast to the Sky+ HD box at 1080i? If this is the case than any other setting to the 1080i will involved processsing by the Sky+ HD to change the resolution? Certainly 576p is not what SD is usually broadcast at, so the box is...

Motion judder on my new 3D Samsung 40UE 7000.

Is your blu-ray set to output at 24p which was designed to match the original frame rate and remove any telecine judder?

    Sky Anytime+ connection set up

You could also look at a powerline solution? This will run the ethernet over the existing mains power cabling already in place. So power socket to power socket. google for homeplug or powerline and you should see some products. I have just tried the D-Link 200 mbps running up stairs on a...

sky+hd with record feature but no sub

Well cards have to be paired to the box to work. So I presume this is why the original woud record but the other card would not.

Master and Commander in DTS-HD Master the opening scene between the two ships firing broadside cannons at each other. You will duck as the cannon balls rip the ships apart and all that shrapnel is flying around.

    Onkyo 606 Through Signal

So using the analog outs to the multi channel in on the onkyo 606? As you say this will work but thats 5 addtional cables? Would this have have any discernable benefit over decoding on the 606 from the hdmi? I just use the one hdmi in on the TV and the 606 handles all inputs and sound.

    Onkyo 606 Through Signal

I run my BD35 at 1080p via my Onkyo 606 with hdmi set to through and the picture is unaffected. If your audio is all handled by the Onkyo 606 this is the only way to get all the HD sound to the 606 for it to decode.

Contrast setting on new Sky 1Tb box?

I have found that leaving the contrast on medium suits me. I changed it to high and it blew out the highlights and was quite clearly wrong.

    Sky HD Offer

Well at 08:30 this morning I called and got one for £149, free delivery and self installation. I had the offer through in the post. The surprising thing was I expected them to say that I must have the HD pack as it seems to say that in the conditions. However as I am using this to replace a...

    Sky HD Question

Normally the dual feed is so that you can record two programmes at the same time, or record one and watch another live channel. With single feed you will not be able to do either of these. You have one feed so can if you are recording something that is the only channel available to view at...
