I concur with regards to the space saving. I've got a pair of Spendor A5r floorstanders and their footprint is considerably less than the stands and standmounts that they replaced. Also they look 100% better , and my wife actually likes them as they fit the decor.

Well I have a very simple system. A Cyrus Lyric given 5 stars back in 2014 and a pair of Spendor A5r floorstanders given 4 stars back in 2016. Not arguing with that, sounds good to me.

Can't go wrong with a pair of Atacama SE24 stands, solid as a rock and all you're need with the Quads. I used to have a pair of Quad 12L2's many years ago. Nice speakers and the finish was second to none.
