Yeah! Well! It hasn't worked with me. My prime viewing has dropped by about 70%. I don't even look to see what I might be missing.
If it wasn't for my other-half keeping Amazon in business with her parcels, I'd consider cancelling Prime, completely.
Our Ford has the factory fitted Ford badged stuff which is pants. I don't know who specs audio for cars and whether they actually bother to listen to them. The high end distortion is painful.
The older (and lesser) model of same car we had, had a Sony system which was much better but it did...
Did you try the HLS streams,? I think HLS should work on iPhone. Both seem to work on Android.

I am listening to a HLS stream of Radio 4 on a Marantz CR612 right now.
You can add streams (HSL or DASH) to the HEOS app. Take a look at: https://garfnet.org.uk/cms/tables/radio-frequencies/internet-radio-player/bbc-national-and-local-radio-dash-streams/
No, I don't use Apple nor Linn. Airplay 2 "usually" transmits at AAC 256. Airplay 1 would likely be lossless, if Spotify support it.
edit: manicm beat me to it.
Spotify is not yet lossless over Airplay 2.
Airplay 2 does seem down-sample to AAC 256 over wifi but not cable. I'm not an Apple user so I'm happy to be shown up as an eejit.
That said, I'd go the Wiim route. It is fairly cheap, with good support and good interface.
If you use wired headphones then there are many external DACs available and reviews to match.
Audioquest, Ifi, Astell and Kern, etc do several. Many do up to 32-bit/384kHz and support DSD.
You get small ones powered by the phone and some with internal batteries.
You can get balanced output...
If you look at (NOT a recommendation!!) from Amazon, you will see for the princely sum of £3.99 you get 2 usb-c to 3.5mm adapters.
Quoting a bit of the blurb...
Hi-Fi Sound Performance: The USB C headphones adaptor to 3.5mm jack is equipped with an integrated DAC chip, supporting audio up...
Correct! By removing the 3.5mm jack (and the SD card slot) they save space in the body for other gizmos. So now you need an external DAC or headphones with an in-built DAC.
The next thing to go will be the sim card. Apple have already started down this road by going e-sim only a recent device.
USB headphones have a little DAC inside. You can get tiny cable DACs with a 3.5mm connector for a few quid but they aren't that great. I do have one somewhere.
Very few phones support a 3.5mm jack, nowadays. Sony is one company that has kept it.
I believe Tidal is bit perfect on Android (not...
Yup! That is what I do except Ifi DAC to Wired headphones. I can choose which of my headphones/earbuds I use, using the standard 3.5mm jack. I did try some USB headphones and wasn't that impressed but yours may have a better DAC built in.
In fairness, I wouldn't generally listen to lossless...
In have an Ifi Go Link DAC and I use a splitter to connect this and a power cable/bank. From the image you can see one connector for power and one for the DAC.
