    A good read thanks. The Fyne F502 you opted for sound great but due to the ongoing discussion with my other half about having "ugly boxes!" in the front room is does need to be bookshelf not floorstanding speakers!

    Okay it did come across a bit like that but sorry I was grumpy! I appreciate that people spend thousands on equipment and I'm happy for them. But some people just want an okay turntable to start with so they can initially spend their money on the, as you mentioned, ridiculously expensive...
