Hi there. I am hoping the good members on here can give me some advice. I've owned my Kefs for a few years now, and soon will be updating my amp. At the same time I would like to upgrade the speaker terminals, as anyone familiar with these speakers or similar from the era will know they...

Audiolab 8000a.........is it a worthwhile upgrade from Pioneer A400?

Thanks for your advice. I always buy used equipment, and would like something from late 70s, 80s if poss (early 90s at a push!) I have a budget of around 300, only need two channels. I listen to varied music. I'm looking for an amp which has a great deal of clarity, prefer neutral over bright...

Audiolab 8000a.........is it a worthwhile upgrade from Pioneer A400?

Hi, My A400 is currently driving a set of Kef 103.2's, which I find just awesome and so neutral. Problem is the A400 jut doesn't seem to drive them. I am quite lucky where I live, that I can listen to my system quite loud, without upsetting the neighbours!! Now I know the 8000a is a quality...

    Kef 103.2.......good buy for £120?

The Crestas were just a stop-gap, but still had a nice clear midrange. Will probably keep hold if them as may use as rears in the future. The 103.2's are obviously in a different league both in build and sonically. I like the fast sound, and it's imiging abiities. I won't ever let her go...

Sub £80 used A/V receiver to match Mission M7S

Hi, I'm looking to replace the receiver in my dad's current set up. He has an old Sony DVD/Receiver, which is pre-HDMI and obviously pre BluRay. He has a set of Mission M7S 5.1 speakers, which will be staying (regardless of your views he isn't going to budge with them!) :-) So, The room is only...
