Thanks I will look into this, I just gave the 2 players another test with Avatar in 2D and still think pic is slightly better on panasonic but sound better on pioneer , seems like I have to turn up the volume when playing on panasonic to get the same effects as pioneer on a lower volume But...

Why would all blu ray play back be the same picture quality ? What about the sound ? Pioneer better as far as I can tell ? How do I go about getting the TV calibrated then ? As what's the advantages? Thanks

The chroma setting is on , might go and buy some newer blu ray discs to test it. Any suggestions to really test these 2 players out against each other ?
