    Thank to both for replies. Yes there's an HDMI link from the Mac Mini to the TV and from the TV to the Arc. To (hopefully) clarify, my understanding is that I can add separate Sonos speakers to the Arc, but the orthodox way to do this would be to add a pair of, eg, Sonos 1s as rear speakers...
