    3 stripe jack

Ebay is your friend here. I bought a 3 metre one on there a while ago. Not audiophile quality, but does the trick if you need a little more length.

Next Earphones now my Shure 535 are Breaking

Shure won't do anything having been in that position before. They will only offer you a small discount on their existing range..... but you'll find the discount is moot as you can find them cheaper elsewhere. What I ended up doing though as I was in the same exact situation as you with the...

    Klipsch

DOH! Apologies, thought the M40's were in ear...... Actually listened to these a while ago in Selfridges. Didnt think they were worth the full RRP, but at £100 it's a no brainer if you like the look. Amazon also have a great returns policy so I wouldn't worry if you don't get along with them.

    Ultra hd

Next time you're in London, go visit Selfridges and Harrods. Ultra HD is stunning with the trailers etc that I saw on the Sony, Samsung, and LG sets there. I am still hesitant on LCD though as I have yet to see one that views as naturally as a VT or ZT Panny or KRP Pio..... Regardless of what...

    Klipsch

Pretty sure Klipsch X10's were £99 from Amazon too..... Slightly more fragile, but the sound is really great from them. Also.... if you can bump your budget to £169..... Ultimate Ears are currently doing their UE900 direct from their own UK website at that bargain price. Grabbed myself a pair...

Best In-Ear earphones with Active Noise Cancelling

I've seen almost new QC15s go on Avforums classifieds for 160 to 200. Bargain considering their rrp.

Best In-Ear earphones with Active Noise Cancelling

Bar the Bose QC15 and the PSB M4U2, all other 'active' noise cancelling headphones/earphones I've tried sucked..... and I've tried a few. Noise isolation like the Shures etc where the best option for effectively keeping noise out and music in bar the 2 mentioned above. By all means, go try the...

Best In-Ear earphones with Active Noise Cancelling

Whoops..... based on the fact that you were looking at a few of the Bose ones.... thought your budget was in the £150 mark! Down around the £50 mark, I would still always go for the Soundmagic E10s for musicality. No 'active' noise cancelling, but the decent seal that they create makes up for...

Best In-Ear earphones with Active Noise Cancelling

In ear active noise cancelling ones are so so from my experience (tried Sony's and Panasonic's). Get yourself a decent pair of IEMs using Comply tips or ones similar to Shure's olive tips. These will isolate very very well without the need for any form of artificial NC. Ones from Shure...

Quite funny how this thread has gone all 'Out with the handbags!'. Had something similar happen with me in another thread on here. Figured I let things lie as life is too short to deal with things like this. ------ Fr0g... back on topic..... found any headphones yet? I'm currently down to two...

    Shonyun SH-306A + Epiphany Acoustics E-DAC - review

What options did you choose for your mimic cable and what did that eventually cost including shipping? Considering getting one too but I'm actually quite happy with the Lindy one. Length is actually usable day to day when I need to pick up my phone every so often.

    Shonyun SH-306A + Epiphany Acoustics E-DAC - review

Just picked up a Lindy cable. Works a charm and the length even though it says 50cm is more like 40cm. Actually perfect for my needs as i can pick up and use my phone without picking up the dac and amp. Quite happy with this until I get round to ordering a nice Mimic one.

Or go the whole hog and get a pair of custom IEMs :P

Amperiors are great..... head over to Head Fi or eBay and grab yourself a bargain. They're currently £130 or so. Plenty of change then to get a nice amp to help with dynamics etc compared to a smartphones normal headphone output. They still go loud enough via an ipad or iphone.
