Yamaha RX-3050 Decoder Off ??
Not sure if you have sorted this but it sounds like the common heat related issue on the dip chip. As it gets warmer the connection works and sound kicks in. Should be under warranty? If not some people have had luck with reflowing/resoldering the chip (all done at you own risk)- BobBadger
