    Thanks. I should have explained that the room has an open floor plan and I can't use surrounds.

    Should I even consider a 3.1.2 setup with Dolby Atmos enabled speakers to bounce sound off the ceiling (12 ft height, flat ceiling)? Is 3.1.2 even a real thing, and is there an AVR that actually provides true Dolby Atmos with 3.1.2 speaker setup?
