i recently heard the NAD T757 playing in stereo, no sub, just 2.0 and it sounds really good, it sounds like nad did 10 years ago...its as though they have taken a stereo amp and added centre and surround amps into the box...

spoke to NAD on their facebook page and they suggest the M51 dac that can also be used as a pre-amp, interesting as you then get a masters series pre-amp with several inputs and use the C375BEE as a power amp.....kinda like an M3 with C series amplifications..

havn't posted in here for a looooooooong time, very quite now to what it used to be....

have not had a chance to add the power amp to this set up....any opinions please...

i have a 10 years old NAD dvd player T550 and its cd playback is superb it is not far behind the nad c542 cd player, it has plenty of grunt and drive..its not connected to a dac it doesnt need to be...but like all old dvd players they dont upscale dvd video and dont have hdmi., but as a cd...

When running stand mount speakers do i need to have a top of the range powerhouse avr ? would i be wasting all that extra power ? for example if i go nad , is the T747 perfectly suited to it or would the 685 theatre benefit from say the T775 or in deed the mighty 120 watt T785 with its twin...

when streaming from itunes to atv2 and then optical from atv2 to av reciever optical in does the reciever do the converting from digital to analouge ? So what im trying to put into words is this....is there a dac inside my imac that converts itunes music and then sends to atv2 or is it sent...

i have listened to both CM7 and CM9 with the Yamaha AS2000 amp and have to say they are very good speakers in deed. There was so much bass coming out of the CM 7 i checked the rear of the amp to if a sub was conneted to it, nope, was just the Yamaha amp, yamaha cdp and cm7... a great buy.

PW...............thats what i thought might happen with 600 series sub, even a small one, Looked at your sig ad those 805 with black stands alays look just sooooooo good.

if i wanted more bass than the 805 can give should i add a subwoofer or opt for the 804 standmounters ? would a sub such as a bw 608 be suitable as i notice the 800 series only have large subs which i feel may overpower the standmounts. Is 600 series sub a miss match for an 800 series...
