    Relace Alpha 9 ??

My only issue would be that the Alpha range is getting on a bit now, so an elderly Alpha 10 could well develop issues of its own before long. Perhaps an A38 would be the better bet. FWIW. I added a power amp after using my A85 on its own for a while and the difference was marked. Much better...

Take a look at the reviews for the Ruark Audio MR1s and the larger Q Acoustics BT3s..... Might be what you're looking for.

    Atlas Equator MkIII interconnect

Not heard the Equators myself, but I do like Atlas cables. My experience with I/Cs is a bit like Goldilocks. When I got my stuff new a good few years back now, I got some VDH I/Cs free. Although the sound was a big step up over my previous midi system it wasn't long before I realised there was...

    OPETH - Big Chris

I got it from the song they've already released/ leaked from the new album.......... Yes, it's only one song I know, but it's not a classic in my eyes. Nobody has said you have to take, what is only my opinion don't forget, as gospel. You love Opeth & Mikael Akerfeldt, that's great...

    OPETH - Big Chris

Don't get me wrong. I love Damnation, I love Storm Corrosion too.. I'm not adverse to melody in my metal which is why I got into Opeth in the first place, but when they change the formula too much they end up losing what made Opeth, well... Opeth! I'm not after carbon copies of Blackwater Park...

Yep. Didn't the pic on the left give it away? :)

    OPETH - Big Chris

I'd definitely recommend 'Watershed' too. Some don't like it, but tracks like 'Porcelain Heart' and 'Burden' are seriously good, and classic Opeth.

Ditto. And sadly it seems like the new album is going to be more of the same.

Deathmetal Hi-Fi Extracting the most from your CDs or Streamers

Went to the Indigo at the o2 on Monday night for Metal Hammer's Golden Gods. Met a few cool people and tried to get photographed with as many drummers as possible.... Me with Anup Sastry, drummer for Skyharbor, Intervals & Marty Friedman. Me & Jay Postones, drummer for TesseracT With Chris...

Deathmetal Hi-Fi Extracting the most from your CDs or Streamers

The bass guitar is clearer on the slower sections, it's a bit harder to make out in the fast verses. It's overdriven certainly. Not clean, but not fuzzboxed to hell either. Cymbal changes from a lower/larger crash to a higher/ smaller crash halfway through the verses. Tom hits is easier. If...

What is your all time favourite metal song?

Good song, good album, but I think 'Spirit In Black' edges it... :rockout:
