Don't get me wrong, I also believe there are differences in amplifiers. Going from Naim to Luxman and then Croft brought a different sound, although I agree the differences are probably so small but it's hard to tell after seconds or minutes of swapping over. I wish they did sound they same...

It also depends on how loud you like to listen to your music. I owned some ATCs before, and realised how good they are when you crank them up. For normal listening levels, the Harbeths are full of life and character. Just lovely. I'd like to hear some of the higher end Proac someday, same goes...

Yes, absolutely. Sure, the space was big and it was noisy so not a fair assessment. Agreed, it's very much a lifestyle product and my expectations were set quite high. Nice design though.

Would be interested to hear these two amps also. According to Harbeth, any competently designed amp should sound the same as any other, and DACs are at such a good level these days that this all in one should be perfect for any Harbeth speaker. What's not to like? Ample power, tone controls...

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but I'd be looking at some alternative speakers as the Proacs are very detailed and 'toppy'. Great speakers, but something like Harbeth might be more to your liking. Harbeth with Croft, Exposure, Sugden etc. Great match!
