Interesting how everyone likes different sounds. With every thing said though... the quality of the way the music is produced in the first place is my annoyance. When you have a decent band that sounds thin because it was made for the radio and no matter what you play it on it seems off

Everyone says it is personal as some like more/less bass But there must be some universal things that make some hi fI stand out from the rest Also, what do you look out for in a good sounding hi fi, something that makes you think you have to have that sound

I could not see that I was making a comment so kept trying. My amp is a Cyrus 70w channel. Surly you only know when you have pushed speakers/amp too hard when it is too late ?

Using Spendor a6r They sound amazing but scared to let them go because of the scare stories

Why is it that when you pay high end prices, you need to be more careful with what you bought. Watches - don't do this dont do that or it will break. Loudspeakers - don't go too loud or they will break. Now I know common sense should be used, but are loudspeakers meant to be able to go loud...

Problem with a good Hi Fi in my opinion is that you can have a conversation even playing at high volumes, because there is not as much distortion. Problem is the temptation to play louder and then the LOUDSPEAKER breaks ! Never happened to me but how a loudspeaker breaks at high volumes is...

I am sure it was in the instructions manual which o have lost. Done some decorating and put them back not sure if in the right place. It did say it I'm sure
