Schbeemb: Unless I've missed something, you do not say whether you're using a PC or Mac. If you're using a Mac then I'd urge you, just once, to try connecting your Mac digital output directly to your DAC and play some uncompressed AIFF files. I am willing to bet you'll be stunned further still...
