    big disappointment...recently purchased NAIM NAP 200DR and after some reading on diferent forums dicided to try NAC A5 instead my HI Diamond 1 speaker cables...sound was so opened, too much mids and trebs...without bass at all...I am back on HIDiamond...in this price range this is BEST speaker...

    what dac to buy

    My opinion , for around 1000 euros I think you will find Chord Chordette Qute HD...This is great DAC ,you will find your sistem can sing and swing like never before.... next one is Audiolab M-Dac ...that one is much cheaper but it is great DAC ( only 24 96 on USB but great)

    rDAC v irDAC v M-DAC

    Audiolab M-DAC is great piece...way better than rDAC or irDAC...there is no one in this price range with that sound quality....

    Rega DAC or Audiolab MDAC to replace Cambridge DAC magic

    I think better solution is Audiolab MDAC...I have heard both, Rega is great DAC but Audiolab sonds beter,specialy at low end...I had CA Dacmagic 100 for 1,5 years and I can say you will get much improvement with Audiolab, that was my choice until Naim Dac v1 came....there is no mistake- AUDIOLAB...

    My recomendation in 200 region is CA Dac Magic 100 , after 1,5 year of every day listening and 3 other DAC compare that is best DAC for that money....
