Hi - I'm having a similar issue with my new Denon AVR X500. Nexus 7 (2013) plus Slimport adapter. It's the first device I've had any problem with, normally this Slimport adapter works with no issues. Same symptoms as you - the TV screen flickers every few seconds as if it's about to connect...
