I was under the impression the Abrahams amps need a pre-amp and balanced connection to perform optimal. On the other hand de Bel Canto pre-amps seems to have more of a 'straight wire' approach, making a pre-amp less neccesary (if you don't need multiple inputs, remote volume control and such)...
